Chinese Government Scholarship 2014

The College of Foreign Students Education of Wuhan University is a specialized school in charge of the enrollment, admission, administrative affairs of the foreign students, and is also the college of Wuhan University qualified for Government-Scholarship independent enrollment.

In order to attract more outstanding students from renowned universities globally, while being supported by Chinese Government and approved by Chinese Scholarship Council, our university would provide full scholarships to excellent students from all over the world for Master’s and Doctoral Programs.

Eligibility of applicants

1.Full time Master and Doctoral Program applicants of non-Chinese nationality and in good health;
2.Applicants who apply for a master degree should be under 35 years old and have a bachelor's degree;
3.Applicants who apply for a doctoral degree should be under 40 years old and have a master's degree;
4.This scholarship is not available to transfer students.

Scholarship coverage and criteria

1.Registration fee, tuition fee, basic teaching materials and accommodation fees are exempted.
2.Living allowance: (PHD 2000RMB, Master 1700RMB) and one time- resettlement assistance fee.
3.Comprehensive medical care insurance for International Students

Procedure of application

1.Login the registration system for Application Online. http://laihua.csc.edu.cn
2.Register and apply online. Our university code is 10486.
3.Submit your application, download and print 2 copies of the completed application form.
4.Please send the copies of the application form with the necessary documents as below to our university.

Application documents (all in duplicate)

1.Scanned copy of valid passport;
2.Diploma and transcripts: to be issued directly by the educational administration office of the school/university, with an official stamp. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English. (Bachelor’s Degree diploma is required for master programs and Master’s Degree diploma is required for doctoral programs;
3.Study Plan, 800 words or above, written in Chinese or in English;
4.Two Recommendation Letters from either professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English;
5.“Physical Examination Form for Foreigners”, filled in Chinese or in English. Each applicant should take physical examination according to requirements in this form. Physical Examination Form for Foreigners would be invalid in the following situations: some of the items required in the form are missing; there is no photo in the form; there is no seal stamped on the photo; the form is not signed by doctors and sealed by the hospital. In view that the period of validity for the physical examination is 6 months, it’s strongly advised that the applicants should take the physical examination according to the requirement in time.

Please note: All documents should be submitted in two hard copies by EMS (The diploma and transcripts should be original or notarized ones). The scanned copies can be sent by email in advance.
