Taiji Lecture Held by Beijing Sport University
Dr. Xiaojun, Wang from Beijing Sport University visit the Confucius Institute of University of Valencia and gave us a lecture about The Benefits of Tai Ji in Modern life He spoke in a packed auditorium where the atmosphere is casual and alive at 6:30pm,May 24, 2012. About 120 audiencsattent this lecture, they all in high spirits. Agter the lecture, Dr. Wang show his apprecition by giving a paited scrolls to the confucius Institute.
Dr. Wang said, with the development of the science and the technology, people enjoy a more convient life but correspondingly lack of Activity. Many people suffered from high blood pressure and heart disease. It’s not enough to cure diseases by medicine. It would be better to do sport to be healthy and happy. Dr. Wang introduce Tai Ji from three aspects-body, breath and the develop of both hemispheres of the brain. At the same time he demonstrated TaiJi, the audiences eagered to get in on the action.
The audiences were very active to ask questions. a one-hour lecture lasted about 2 hours. After the lecture, many questioners refused to leave and asked Dr. Wang for advice.
Carlos, nearly 70-year-old, has already learned Taiji for 5 years, he looks energy and healthy. He said proudly “I’m a master”. The Confucius Institute of University of Valencialauched Tai Ji course in 2008. More and more Spanish knowchinese culture and history now. We believe, the new Tai Ji course would attract more people.
