CUECC ties the knots with Ningbo University

Despite the gloomy weather, Mr Chai, the Deputy Director of International Student Division in International College of Ningbo University, visited our office in Sandun, Hangzhou and established the cooperation with us on this Wednesday.

Mr Chai, charismatic in look and refined in talk, deeply impressed us with his profoundness in knowledge and openness in mind. Mr Ling, the CEO of our company, held a conference at our meeting room to welcome Mr Chai. Not only did Mr Chai introduce to us about the international study in Ningbo University in details, but he also enlighted us with a new sight of the filed of international study. The meeting lasted for nearly two hours and all of us had a great lesson. What Mr Chai brought to us was not only the cooperation between our company and Ningbo University, but also many good choices of excellent majors for every international students in China.

Ningbo University is a key comprehensive university with a wide range of disciplines. It is well located in Ningbo, Zhejiang, a modernized port city along China’s South-East Coastal areas. As the first batch of cities in China open to the world, Ningbo boasts prosperous economy and modernized life style. Therefore, the study and life in Ningbo is brought in line with international. There is no doubt that the international program in Ningbo University takes its place in the front of all the universities in Zhejiang Province.

With its advantaged geographical position near seas, Ningbo University enjoys a good reputation all over China for its Aquiculture Specialty and Fishery Resources Specialty, which are both open to international students for Master and Doctoral study. And the best thing is that they are all taught in English media, which gives students no pressure of studying Chinese (there are 12 bachelor programs, 7 master programs and 2 doctoral programs in Ningbo University are taught in English, providing diverse choices for students). Besides, also as university sitted in a port city, Ningbo University boasts one of the best Logistics Management majors for Bachelor study in China. It has now established cooperation with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and been appointed as the sixth logistics center of MIT. What’s more, Ningbo University also has its own MBBS major which has been recognized by MOE (in China, only 45 universities have MBBS listed). Despite its English medium majors, Ningbo University is also making efforts to develop French-based majors to build its international fame. It has Tourism Management majors taught in French, and for both Bachelor and Master study. Of course, it also has Chinese Language study. But different from that in other schools, the Chinese Language study (for bachelor degree) has a distinctive feature that if the students can pass the HSK4 with 180 scores, he/she can skip their freshman year and directly enter the sophomore study!

The scholarship varies from school level to provincial level. And also there is special scholarships for Tourism Management and Mechanical Engineering.
