Transtlate The Opening Ceremony of SHNU Science Shop was held in SHNU on December 27th, attended by SHNU Vice President Liu Xiaomin, Dean of Shanghai Promotion Center of Science Popularization Yu Zengrong, among others.
Initiated in Europe, science shop is a community-based organization aiming at addressing the questions concerning science for local citizens and non-government organizations. It establishes the bridge between universities and societies. In 2013, SHNU College of Mathematics and Science, SHNU College of Life and Environmental Sciences and SHNU School of Education cooperates with Baoshan streets, Kangjian streets, and Beixinjing streets to offer latest knowledge service for local communities, such as 3D printing, reading share, nano technology, etc.
After the ceremony, new programs of science shop attended debating and answering part, namely, parent and school service department from SHNU College of Humanities and Communications, Scientific Sports and Health Service from SHNU College of Physical Education, family finance planning service and financial knowledge service from SHNU School of Business, and scientific English Popularization service from SHNU College of Foreign Languages.
