QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION

BACHELOR DEGREE
STUDENTS

Bachelor degree candidates are expected:
1.To have received a senior high school education or a similar education;
2. To submit the transcripts, graduation certificate or a similar diploma;

MASTER
DEGREE
STUDENTS

Master degree candidates are expected :
1.To have received a college education or a similar education;
2.To submit his/her graduation certificate or a similar diploma and transcripts
3.To submit 2 letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors;

STUDENTS FOR
GENERAL COURSES

Applicants are expected:
1.To have received a senior high school education or a similar education;
2.To submit his/her graduation certificate;
3.To submit the plan of advanced studies

DOCTORAL DEGREE STUDENTS

PH.D candidates are expected:
1.To have received an education of Master’s degree or a similar education;
2.To submit his/her graduation certificate or similar diploma;
3.To submit his/her research topic and plan; and 2 letters of recommendation from two professors

STUDENTS FOR ADVANCED COURSES

Applicants are expected:
1.To have received an education of master’s degree or a similar education of qualification;
2.To submit graduation certificate and academic records
3.To submit research topic and plan

HSK requirements: Grade 6 for students to study Chinese history, literature, philosophy, Grade 3 for students to study other subjects, including students for bachelor degree majoring in Chinese.

Any applicants mentioned above who have not yet met the requirements of Chinese proficiency for admission to his/her major can study Chinese language at this university, take part in the examination of Chinese proficiency test (HSK) and then begin his/her major if he/she passes HSK.

LONG- TERM
STUDENTS

Those having received a senior high school education, submitting the graduation certificate and academic records, and in good health can be admitted after approval.

SHORT-TERM
STUDENTS

All candidates holding a high school certificate can apply for admission. If an organization or a unit has the plan to send a group of students, the number should be more than 10 and their Chinese proficiency is nearly the same. If it is a big group and their Chinese proficiency is not at the same level, they can be divided into different groups according to their levels of Chinese after test. Any individual applicant can join a class in the middle of a course if he/she applied at a suitable time and submit his/her basic background. 

DURATION AND COMPLETION OF STUDIES, AWARDING OF DEGREES

BACHELOR DEGREE STUDENTS

The schooling is usually 4 years. After the completion of the prescribed courses, a diploma and Bachelor’s Degree are granted.

MASTER’S  DEGREE  STUDENTS

The duration of studies is 3 years. After completing prescribed courses and passing dissertation defending, a diploma and Master’s Degree are granted.

DOCTORAL  DEGREE  STUDENTS

The duration of students is 3 years. After completing prescribed courses and passing dissertation defending, a diploma and Doctoral Degree are granted.

STUDENTS  FOR GENERAL COURSES

The duration for students to take general courses is one or two years. After completing courses, a certificate is awarded.

STUDENTS FOR ADVANCED COURSES

The duration of studies is half a year or one year.  After the completion of the courses, a certificate of advanced studies is awarded.

STUDENTS FOR CHINESE LANGUAGE STUDIES

LONG-TERM STUDENTS

The duration of studies is over six months. After the completion of the prescribed courses and passing the examination, a certificate is awarded.

SHORT-TERM STUDENTS

  As for a group students or individuals, the duration is decided in accordance with the convenience for the students. After the completion of the course, a certificate is awarded.

Note: According to the regulations of the university, a degree student who has not obtained a diploma or a degree due to personal reasons is given a certificate of studies.
