Bachelor’s Degree Student

High school graduates

1. High school diploma
2. High school transcript
3.Certificate of HSK level 5 or above(except those study undergraduate program on Chinese at the College of International Education)
4. Original Certificate of Kindred and Entrustment Certificate for Guardian entrusted by parents and copy of guardian’s identity certificate (for those under 18 years old). All documents shall be notarized in Chinese or English translation. The guardian shall reside or work in Beijing in a long term.
5. A copy of the applicant’s passport

Master’s Degree Student

Bachelor or above

1. Certificate of bachelor’s degree
2. Copy of university transcript
3. Recommendation letters from two experts or professors in related fields
4. Copy of HSK Certificate (except those graduated from a Chinese university)
5. Application for admission (including study purpose, research interest and research plan in brief)

Doctor’ Degree Student

IV. Study Fee
Degree student’ tuition is charged according to the amount of credits that he/she chooses. The following prices are listed only for reference.

V.Accommodations and Fees

i. The university has two dormitory buildings for international students.
1. East Gate International House
In East Gate International House, there are public lavatory, coin operated auto washing machine, refrigerator, IC-card public phone on each floor and a convenient store on the first floor. Each apartment is equipped with:

● direct outward telephone (dialing with 201 card)
● bed (with bed stand)
● desk with shelf
● wardrobe
● free wireless Internet service

West Gate International House provides home-like accommodations for international students. Each apartment is equipped with:

ii.International students can rent houses off campus with Registration Form for Temporary Residence from the local police station.

iii.All cafeterias and restaurants on campus are available to international students.
CUN has 4 student cafeterias (including one Muslim canteen) and some restaurants with local flavors, catering to different tastes of all Chinese and international students. The actual meal fare depends, about ¥15 per day.

VI. Campus Life and Surrounding Environment
On campus there is a school hospital, a post office, 2 bank ATM, a campus supermarket, a laundry, book stores, etc.. The university’s library has a collection of about 1,400,000 books, among which there is the largest collection of 120,000 books in 20 ethnic minority writing systems. The university’s Ethnic Museum has a collection of more than 30,000 precious cultural relics relating to ethnic minorities in China.
CUN has good facilities such as various-size classrooms, auditoriums and language labs, lecture halls, computer center and so on. An electronic reading room with free internet service is provided especially for international students. The university’s sport facilities are complete, open to all students.
The Bank of China is across the street from the university’s east gate, and the National Library of China is 500 meters south. There are supermarkets both to the south and north of campus within one kilometer. More than 20 bus routes pass near campus, as well as a subway near the front gate of CUN, so transportation is very convenient.
