About JLUZH
Sponsored and administered cooperatively by Jilin University (JLU), this key comprehensive university is affiliated with the State Ministry of Education and Zhuhai Huazheng Education Investment Co. Ltd. Zhuhai College of Jilin University (JLUZH), on Zhuhai Campus of JLU, has received approval from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
The campus also covers the Graduate School of JLU (Zhuhai branch), the Southern Research Center of JLU, the State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry (Zhuhai Branch) and the Key Laboratory of Symbolic Computation and Knowledge Engineering of Ministry of Education (Zhuhai Branch).
There are 24,000 full-time undergraduates, 14 departments, 2 teaching centers and a Teaching Division covering 36 major subjects. The professional disciplines include six subject categories: economics, art, science, engineering, medicine and management.

Continuing the rich educational tradition and resources of JLU, Zhuhai College of Jilin University has set up a teaching group that combines ability with morality, within a well organised and efficient structure. Among the full-time teachers, 31% are professors or associate professors and 85% have been awarded Master’s Degrees or Doctorates. With its high-level of professional talent, well-equipped facilities and beautiful environment JLUZH stands out among the over 320 independent colleges around China. It has had the honour of receiving many awards, including winning the Top Ten China Brand Independent Colleges in 2008. It was ranked 5th overall in the Research Report Assessment of China’s Civilian-run Universities and Colleges 2008, and 4th among the Top 20 Chinese Independent Colleges selected by Tencent Education Net, in 2009. A number of honours were awarded to JLUZH in 2010, such as the China Independent Colleges Outstanding Brand, China Advanced Independent Colleges and the Outstanding Contribution Award to Civilian-run Education in Guangdong, to name a few. |
