Note: Those attending classes taught in English can exempt from HSK test requirements. And for certain specialties, some Ph.D students studying for further enrichment can have a lower HSK requirement or even exempt from it provided their application is approved ( They are supposed to have a high level of English).
Application Process and Fees
- Application Process
(1) Chinese Government Scholarship Student
Applicants shall have the recommendation of the Chinese Embassy in their country. The Ministry of Education of China entrusts Chinese embassies to enroll scholarship students and give relevant qualifying examinations.
(2) HIT Foreign Student Scholarship
Applicants and the registered outstanding foreign students may apply for the scholarship. Please contact the International Student Center, HIT for more information.
(3) Exchange Program Student
Applicant’s admission requirements and enrollment are defined by the relevant agreements between HIT and their host universities or sponsoring university
(4)Self-funded Students
a. Self-funded students should contact the International Student Center, HIT for the Application Form of HIT Foreign Students. They should return it to the International Student Center, HIT, along with relevant academic credentials, recommendation letters, the guarantor form signed by their financial supporters and the application fee (cash if submitted in person, or a photography of the telegraphic transfer receipt )
b. The deadline for application is July 30, every year. HIT International Student Center will send a letter of acceptance to applicants who are accepted within the two weeks on receiving application forms. Applicants who are not accepted will not be notified. Applicants documents will not be returned. The application fee is nonrefundable.
c. Applicants who have received the acceptance letter and JW202 From issued by the China’s Ministry of Education should show the two documents to the Chinese Embassy in their country in order to get a X-status visa. Applicant should register at HIT International Student Center by submitting the acceptance letter, JW202 Form and a health examination report supported by original test results. Failure to register before the deadline will disqualify the student from the enrollment.
Note: For international student with "L" or "F" visa, International student office can help them in the process of getting "x" visa .
- Fees
Academic program:
(1).Application fee: 320 RMB /person; 410 RMB/person( taught in English)
Entry-examination: 200 RMB
(2).Tuition: Undergraduate Program: 18000 RMB per year/per person
Master's degree Program: 25000RMB per year/per person
Doctoral Degree Program: 33000 RMB per year/per person;
49200 RMB per year, per person (taught in English)
General advanced program: 23000 RMB per year/ per person
Special advance program: 32000 RMB per year/per person
(3).Accommodation: 500 RMB per month, per person( no including electricity fee )
(4).Other fees: students are responsible for their boarding, medical care, teaching materials and travel expense on vacations.
Note: Tuition must be paid in full the one week after classes begin. If the student leaves or transfers from Hit without no special causes, tuition will not be refunded.
