Yangzhou University (YZU) is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. As one of the largest universities in the most economically vigorous area in China, YZU has been striving to provide quality education to its students ever since 1902. Today YZU offers 94 undergraduate programs, 139 master’s programs and 33 doctoral programs in 28 schools. Most of them are available for overseas students. More than 33,900 undergraduates and over 5,300 graduates are studying full-time on its 8 campuses. In addition to that, there are around 16,000 adult students studying part-time in its continuing education programs.
YZU is one of the earliest-opened universities approved by the Ministry of Education to admit international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. It is also one of the universities to accept students funded by Chinese Government Scholarship and Confucius Institute Scholarship.
YZU attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation. It has set up close ties and friendly cooperation with numerous institutions of higher education and learning in over a dozen countries and regions. The number of international students is on the rise yearly.
YZU opens its door not only to the incoming foreign students, but also through the Confucius Institute established in Kennesaw State University in Georgia, USA and Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
