Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), founded in 1952, is located to the west of Dalian Xinhai Park, which is known as a national tourist resort. The University is a multidisciplinary teaching and research institution with its academic programs focusing on economics, management, law, arts and science, and with full-time and part-time programs as its two major education forms. On full-time basis, the University offers 31 undergraduate programs, 54 master’s programs, and 34 doctoral programs, among which there are four doctoral programs in first-class disciplines and two postdoctoral programs in first-class disciplines. On part-time basis, the University offers four professional master’s degrees of MBA, MPA, MPAcc, and JM, among which MBA program was ranked the second place in a national assessment conducted by the Academic Degree Administration Office of the State Council, and MPAcc education is one of the sixteen pilot programs around the country. In addition, vocational education, continuing education and online education make other three forms of part-time undergraduate education.
Among the programs offered there are industrial economics and accounting as national leading disciplines, statistics, banking, public finance, quantitative economics, and business management as provincial leading disciplines.
