Communication University of China(CUC)is a key university directly under the Education Ministry of the People’s Republic of China; devotes herself to education media professionals and conducting scientific researches in the field of radio, TV, film, network and publishing. Communication University of China(CUC)is the highest learning institute of communication in China.
International College for Chinese Language Studies of Communication University of China possess a faculty of professional and experienced teachers who engaged in Chinese language teaching, most of whom major in foreign Chinese, Chinese linguistics and literature or broadcasting. These teachers are granted Foreign Chinese Teaching Qualification Certificate by National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language; some of them have National Mandarin Level Examiner Certificate. Some teachers are graduated from the Department of Announcing and Hosting Arts of the CUC; therefore they are specialized in Chinese pronunciation and have a special way of teaching Chinese as a second language. Besides, many of our teachers were announcers or hosts in radio and TV stations and also have rich experiences in teaching Chinese Pronunciation and Chinese Linguistics. Consequently, they have accumulated a rich store of successful experiences and found out a number of effective methods in teaching Chinese as foreign language, especially in pronunciation correction. This way, International College for Chinese Language Studies has the advantage of targeting chronic areas of problems and strengthening standard pronunciation. Also,this advantage stands alone in other teaching Chinese as foreign language departments in China.
Putting emphasis on educational quality all along, International College for Chinese Language Studies arranges the curriculum according to social need and language requirement, whose general principle is to display its characteristics. A comprehensive Chinese curriculum is formed after a long time practice, attached with a variety of optional courses and complemented with a series of forums about Chinese.
Moreover, International College for Chinese Language Studies cooperates with The College of Announcing and Hosting Arts, College of Chinese Literature and other Colleges of the CUC, make use of the quality media resources to develop the multi-media teaching materials in class.

Campus Life
The International Center offers students a comfortable place to stay during their study at CUC.
Food
 CUC has two student canteens, which offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, the
costs are usually about 1 RMB to 3 RMB; for lunch or dinner, the costs are about 5 RMB to 10
RMB. With their student card, international students can go to the second floor above the
supermarket to apply for a canteen card.
 CUC also has three Chinese restaurants, which cater different flavors. There are also a number
of cafés on campus, where students can have western food.
Activities
 Each semester, CUC’s International School of Education organizes one day trips for international
students to tourist attractions such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall.
 CUC’s International School of Education also organizes longer trips (2 or 3 days) for international
students. International students can go to another city which is of historical, cultural significance.
CUC’s International School of Education also organizes parties for international students.
Medical care
 With their student card, international students can go to the school hospital (at their own
expense). International students can also choose whichever hospital they would like to go for
medical care.
Bank
 At the North gate of the CUC, there is an "Agricultural Bank of China". There are also three
ATM's on Campus.
Library
 International students can apply for a library card after CUC’s International School of Education
issues a Letter for them. Students pay RMB 200 as a deposit. For half a year library access,
students pay RMB 50; for an annual card, students pay RMB 100.
Shopping
 There is a big supermarket and three groceries on campus. Students can buy their daily
necessities here.
Applicant Qualifications
Bachelor Degree Study Information for Prospective Students
  Applicants for Bachelor Degree Study should have academic credentials that equate with
Chinese senior high school. They should be under 30 and will learn academic courses for
undergraduates if they could pass the entrance examination. The study period is about 4 or 5 years.
  Master Degree Study Information for Prospective Students
  Applicants for Master Degree Study should have academic credentials that equate with
Bachelor's Degree in China. They should be under 35 and provide academic credentials paper
and at least two recommendation letters. The applicants who pass entrance examination can be
the candidates for Master's Degree. The study period is 3 or 4 years.
  Doctorate Degree Study Information for Prospective Students
  Applicants for Doctorate Degree Study should have academic credentials that equate with
Master's Degree in China. They should be under 45 and provide academic credentials paper and
at least two recommendation letters. The applicants who pass entrance examination can be the
candidates for a Doctorate Degree. The study period is 3 or 4 years.
