Xi’an International University is located in Xi’an Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone in the western part of Xi’an City Proper, enjoying a traffic convenience and a beautiful environment. It owns a total campus area of 134.67 hectares and a total floorage of 685,000 m2. As a comprehensive university, it currently has 9 colleges (the College of Foreign Languages, the College of Economics and Management, the College of Information Engineering, the College of Auto Engineering, the Medical College, the College of Humanities, the College of Cultural Industry, the College of International Cooperation, and the College of Adult Education and On-Line Education) with 22 departments and 96 programs in the fields of economics, literature, management, engineering, agriculture, medicine and law, offering different levels of higher education. Its student population amounts to about 40,000 while its faculty and staff numbers around 2,000.

Since its founding in 1992, the University has persisted in scientific and innovative reform of educational concepts, models and methods, and turned out in total tens and thousands of graduates favored by various social sectors. The successive high employment rate and admirable employment quality of its graduates have led to a successive admission of more and better-quality students into the University over the past years.

XAIU is noted for its scenic lake, lush islands and grand European-style buildings. Living comfort is provided by student and teacher dining halls, a multi-function gymnasium, a rubberized stadium and hairdressing room, etc. The apartment for international students is located by the beautiful lake. All the rooms are well equipped with separate kitchen & bathroom, broad-band internet, color TV set, refrigerator, micro-wave oven, etc.

Shanxi province is abbreviated as “shan”or“qin”. An inland province along the middle reaches of the Yellow River and a gateway to northwest China, Shanxi links the west with the east and connects the north with the south. The Eurasia Continental Bridge, an international economic link starting from Lianyungang in the east and ending in Rotterdam, Netherlands, traverses through the province. The province has an area of 205,600 square kilometers. The college number in Shaanxi province also ranks on the front in China. It owns large quantities of students and the team of the teachers is very powerful.

The history culture is very deep here. And it also has many natural types of scenery. Dispersed in Shaanxi are 72 imperial mausoleums, witness to the ancient economy and culture. The province is best known for ten scenic spots including the Mausoleum of Huang Di, the Qin terra-cotta warriors and horses, the Xian Forest of Stone Tablets, the Shaanxi Museum of History, and the city gate and wall of Xian. The Qin terra-cotta warriors and horses are often called the Eighth Wonder of the World and have been included by UNESCO in the list of World Cultural Heritages.
