iangxi Science & Technology Normal University is a comprehensive university, a national key building base of vocational education teachers’ training and a regional model of vocational education teachers’ university greatly funded by the State Ministry of Finance. Besides, the university is characterized by a national training centre of calisthenics for teen-agers, a provincial key research base of humanities, a provincial key lab of organic functional molecule, a provincial key lab of optic-electronics and communication, and a provincial key lab of material surface engineering. The provincial key lab of food safety engineering is under construction. We have the right to confer master degrees and to enroll foreign students. The university was established in 1977. The State Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government officially approved that Nanchang University of Science & Technology would be established on the basis of Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University in 2004. The university covers an area of 145.5 hectares. Shade trees, and the quiet and tasteful environment of the campus, make the university one of the garden institute in Jiangxi Province. Teaching equipments are advanced. All kinds of facilities are completed. It realized a computer net-work management in the work of administration. We have an excellent teacher team. They have the experienced teaching method. Currently there are more than 20,000 full-time students and 689 faculties including more than 256 professors and associate professors. There are 16 schools (departments, teaching units) and 6 graduate majors and over 46 four-year and three-year majors. The majors cover 7 disciplines, including science, engineering, literature, history, law, management and education. 11 of the majors are provincial key disciplines and famous-brand majors with the development of our country’s reform and opening．Ｗe develop the exchange of international education, international culture and cooperation.
