School of International Studies of Wenzhou Medical College was funded in 2006. It is one of the largest sized international education institutes in Zhajiang Province. In 2007, Wenzhou Medical College has been listed as one of the thirty medical universities which have reached the quality control standards of enrolling international students issued by the Education Ministry of China.

    School of International Studies of WMC provides comprehensive medical education and Chinese Learning courses for the international students all over the world. Currently, there are 370 students from 30 countries studying at our school. Cultivating highly qualified international medical talents is our aim. Supported by the abundant teaching, research and medical resources of Wenzhou Medical College, our school devotes itself to 6-year MBBS and BDS programs by pursuing high standards, targets and qualities. The competent graduates will be granted bachelor's degree. All the medical courses will be taught in English and Chinese language and culture lessons will also be offered to the international students.

    School of International Studies of WMC is constituted by the office of school management, office of teaching management and office of student affairs management. In order to grantee the quality of teaching, Wenzhou Medical College has pooled the teaching resources by choosing the elites of its teaching faculties and equipped advanced facilities like multimedia classroom, clinical skill training center and lab for the international students. The special apartment building and cuisine facility for international students have been put into use to create an enjoyable living environment for them.

    School of International Studies of WMC will spare no efforts to promote the international medical exchange and the development of China’s international education.

Chinese Government Scholarship

1. Number of scholarship students to be admitted: 2
2. Coverage of the scholarship:
- Tuition and fees for registration, laboratory experiments, internship, basic learning materials, and intramural accommodation;
- Living allowance:  CNY 2,000 per month for doctoral students; CNY 1,700 per month for master's degree students;
- Fees for outpatient medical services and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;
- A one-off settlement subsidy for new students after registration: CNY 1,500 per person.

The acceptable applicants include students sent by the foreign educational institutions and legal non-governmental organizations and self-paid individuals from foreign countries.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
