University Profile

Taiyuan University of Science and Technology (TYUST) established in 1952 is one of the earliest universities in the People’s Republic of China for both education and research. It is situated on the west side of Fen River in Taiyuan, a historical cultural city of China. Having belonged to the Ministry of Mechanical Industry， the University is now under the joint administration of the Ministry of Education and Shanxi Province. After fifty years of development, it has become a multidisciplinary comprehensive university of Science, Engineering, Art, Administration, Law and Education.
