Teaching Characteristics:

Teach in small class; divide the Chinese class into A, B, C and D levels according to the Chinese skill, personality and potential of different students.

Focus on the integration of Chinese and western teaching thought, actively advocate “student-orientation” and “happy learning”, teach students in accordance of their aptitude, and apply multi-media equipments and various teaching means to achieve visual and vivid class.

Arrange morning reading and night study according to the characteristics of learning Chinese; the morning reading is leaded by the teacher, and improves the Chinese pronunciation with site guidance by the teacher; the night courses are also instructed by teacher with personal tutorship according to the key and difficult points in teaching.

In order to check the Chinese learning and arouse student’s enthusiasm, the school holds the Chinese Skills Competition for foreign students once a term, and makes students to improve the ability in comprehensive Chinese application through the practice of various language art including recitation, opusculum, comic dialogue and drollery.

Arrange outdoor teaching activity according to the actual demands of Chinese teaching, organize the students to visit the famous sites in the province, and make the students approach plenty of language materials, contact the society and history, and know the Chinese culture and enjoy the attraction of Chinese culture when learning Chinese.

Set up unique “Chinese Channel” for foreign students, select students with standard Chinese to communicate with foreign students, provide oral practice, arrange the foreign students to reside in the Chinese families, and promote them to learn Chinese with Chinese students of same age, and deeply experience the Chinese life.
