Yancheng: A Bright Pearl of the Yellow Sea
• With a long history and brilliant traditional culture. Yancheng claimed its founding as a county in the fourth year of Yuanshou in the West Han Dynasty over 2100 years ago. Under the influence of both Shanghai and Yangtze Delta Economic Circles,Yancheng becomes a vigorous open costal city with increasing obvious regional advantages and deep potentials for development.
• Famous for its wetland, Yancheng is located in the east of Jiangsu Province and borders on the Yellow Sea with two national nature reserves of wild elks and red-crowned cranes.

• An emerging manufacturing base in Jiangsu, Yancheng has six major pillar industries including automobile, machinery, textile, chemical industry, light industry and energy among which the automobile, with its output of 450,000 cars and 15,000 medium-high grade buses, ranks first. In the 11th Five-year Plan, Yancheng will serve as an “automobile city” in the eastern China.
