Introduction of Ganzhou

    Ganzhou, one-fourth of land and one-fifth of population in Jiangxi Province,is located at the upper reach of the Ganjiang River . With efficient traffic and transportation net of expressway, railway and airway, it links conveniently to all parts of China.

    Ganzhou, with agreeable climate, is a pleasant living place. The city is honorably known as "World Capital of Tungsten", "Kingdom of Rare-earth" and "Home of Navel Orange" because of its abundant resources.

    Ganzhou wins the honor of "Cradle of Hakka People" for its largest population in Hakka residence. The Hakka people are enthusiastic and virtuous, hardworking and forbearing, and rich in the spirit of innovation. The unique architecture wisdom of Hakka Enclosed House, the special taste of Hakka Ground Tea, and the beautiful melody of Hakka Folk Songs, are well known both in China and overseas.

    The Zhanggong Region, where is the locus of Ganzhou city, is an ancient city of over 2,000 years and it is appraised as "National Famous City of Cultural Heritage". Due to its profound cultural deposit and its preserved numerous buildings of Song Dynasty, it also enjoys the title of Historic Museum of Song Dynasty.
