Martial Arts Competition

Chinese Confucius Institute hold the first "Confucius Cup" Children's martial arts competition on 30th ,June ,2011. The competition was held successfully in local Goodrich Community Primary School's stadium. The competition invited the six Confucius Classes and some martial arts schools to participate, and only 16 players participate the final.

Much more attention was paid by the participating schools and parents in the martial arts competition which was supported by the British and Chinese local authorities. The director of CITCM Ms. Min Liu and the principal of Goodrich Community Primary School Ms. Shirly Patterson made passionate and profound speeches in the opening ceremony. They pointed out that Confucius Class and the martial arts have done a great work in the UK.

The finals were divided into four groups, and one of the smallest players is only 4 years old. Stadium was full of teachers, students and parents watching the game. The valiant heroic and beautiful movement of each player’s won bursts of applause from the audience. We deeply feel the enthusiasm from the youth, as well as their parents in the UK who fall in love with Chinese martial arts .

After the game, martial arts teachers and dancing teachers gave a fantastic performance for the children. Ms. Min Liu personally awarded prizes and certificates to the player and they made a deal to meet each other in martial arts competitions next year.
