2009 Summit Forum on the Development of China Ship Engine Held in Shanghai
During November 29-30, the 2009 Summit Forum on the Development of China Ship Engine was held in Shanghai Liang An Hotel. It was sponsored by ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversityand the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, undertaken by Ship Engine Scientific Committee of CSNAME and “Shipbuilding Industry”of H&Z.
Professor Su Ming, executive deputy secretary of ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversityand vice president of CSNAME, and Lin Xiandong, executive vice secretary-general of CSNAME attended the conference and delivered the opening address. The conference was hosted by Professor Weng Yiwu, secretary-general of Ship Engine Scientific Committee of CSNAME, and professor of Schoolof Mechanical Engineering, SJTU. Altogether over 200 leaders of ship engine industries and enterprises and experts of universities and scientific institutes attended and discussed the ship engine technology at home and abroad, hot international maritime issues and issues of China’s shipbuilding enterprises to expand their market share. During the conference, the change of personnel of the sixth ship engine scientific committee of CSNAME was carried out.Present at the conference were Professor Sun Peiting, Vice President of Dalian Maritime University, Professor Zhang Wenping, Vice President of Harbin Engineering University, Zhou Ping, Director of Wuhan Institute of Marine Electric Propulsion, CSIC, Chang Shan, deputy director of No. 703 Research Institute of CSIC, Yang Zhongming, head of China Classification Society, and others. Professor Zang Shusheng and Professor Hua Hongxing from Schoolof Mechanical Engineering, ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversityalso attended the conference and gave topic reports.
