President Wang Meets With Participants of 2010 Study & Culture Tour
On the afternoon of May 18th, President Wang Chongju met with more than 40 foreign teachers and students participating in the 2010 CTBU Study & Culture Tour in the Distance Learning Center. Present were Prof. Gou Chaoli, Vice President of CTBU, Han Yan and Zhou Qian, Director and Deputy Director of International Cooperation & Exchange Office respectively.
The meeting began at 2:00 p.m., President Wang extended his warmest welcome to the foreign guests. He spoke highly of the long-term friendly cooperative relationships between CTBU and each partner university and expressed sincere gratitude to the support they had given to CTBU. After reviewing the fruitful relationships and prospected the future cooperation between both sides, President Wang expressed his best wishes to the foreign teachers and students. He hoped that they could get a comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture through three-week program, and promote the existing friendship.
The representatives from each university expressed their feelings about the 2010 CTBU Study & Culture Tour. They said that they’ve got a better understanding of China through a variety of activities, and they also would like to become ambassadors between the two universities.
At the end of the meeting, President Wang and VP Gou also took group photos with the foreign teachers and students.
