Party Secretary Xu Instructing on Work after Graduation

Transtlate May 24 - May 18th, a meeting to discuss the use of an electronic system to deal with affairs concerning the arrangement of this year's work after graduation was held in the No. 2 conference room, North Campus. To link the two campuses, a video conference was held at the same time in No.1 conference room, South Campus. Party Secretary Xu Guobin hosted the meeting. Director of Security Department Zhong Luojun, Director Zhao Ye of Employment Guiding Center, and Deputy Director Chen Yan of Educational Technology Centre also attended.
Graduates this year will still use the electronic system to go through formalities concerning leaving school. Mrs. Chen first emphasized the importance of precision when inputting information. Only when graduates meet all the acquirements can three diplomas be granted to them. Subsequently, Mr. Zhong demonstrated how to operate this system and answered questions raised by teachers. In the second phase of the meeting, Mr. Zhong illustrated on the domiciliary transfer of graduates as well as freshmen. He stressed that domiciliary transfer was crucial especially in looking for a job. To tackle present problems, police stations in two campuses should adopt different measures. Most importantly, counselors should strengthen communication and cooperation with the Security Department.
Mr. Xu said that the focal point of this period's work was to complete the employment plan; meanwhile the major work for each faculty was to coordinate registered permanent residence file with employment and collect information of students' flexible employment. Mr. Zhao added that precise information about students going abroad for further study and flexible employment was required; and another important mission is pre - conscription among graduates. With positive effects like preferential treatment to soldiers according to policies and personal career development, Mr. Zhong required instructors to encourage students unable to find employment to join the army.
In conclusion, Mr. Xu (Xu Guobin) urged that different departments complete their work after students' graduation and employment with full attention and mobilize students, especially party members and student cadres to join the army. He also pointed out the importance of work concerning the Asian Games and safety on campus.
