SIFE-GDUFS Comes Second in the SIFE China Competition Final

May 26 - SIFE-GDUFS participated in the 2010 SIFE China Competition Final under the lead of Deputy Secretary Xie Xiulan from the GDUFS Youth league committee. After defeating many famous teams such as the Chinese University of Hong Kong, SIFE-GDUFS finally brought home a second place finish and the 2010 SIFE best team for JiangSen environmental protection.
49 teams from different areas attended the final and the judges were senior managements from Fortune 500 Companies. The discussions between competitors and judges were the focus of the competition.
SIFE-GDUFS entered the final round with a wonderful performance on May 21st. SIFE-GDUFS impressed the judges with their fluent English and received high comments. When they finished their speech, they received a warm round of applause. Unfortunately, SIFE-GDUFS were defeated and barely missed a first place finish.
With the philosophy of "make dreams come true with commercial power", SIFE-GDUFS operated three businesses including tradition public welfare and social business. Helping to revive a traditional bronze technology shop in Xiguan and raise the income of flower growers in Foshan, the team contributed greatly to society. SIFE-GDUFS aimed at helping others pick up their dreams and promote life.
After the final, Xie Xiulan and the team leader Hu Wanting from SIFE-GDUFS were interviewed. Xie Xiulan said that it was difficult for SIFE-GDUFS to win a runner-up because there was more competition this year. Hu Wanting expressed that "repaying society" was the force driving the SIFE-GDUFS team.
SIFE-GDUFS was first established five years ago. Since that time, "love, responsibility and perseverance" has been the spirit of the team. And they certainly seem to be living that theme as SIFE-GDUFS has won a championship, a runner-up and a second runner-up in the past five years. Recruitment for the sixth SIFE-GDUFS team is currently underway.
