Memorandum of Cooperation with ACCA Signed

June 7 - On the morning of June 2nd, ACCA's Global Markets Managing Director Laurie Gillow visited GDUFS. President Zhong Weihe greeted the guests in the welcoming hall. Other guests include ACCA's Director of Chinese Affairs Liang Shuping, Chief Representative in Guangzhou Yuan Zhe and Marketing Manager of Guangzhou Representative Office Chen Tian. During their visit here, ACCA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with GDUFS. Its Guangzhou branch will start a set of full - time undergraduate courses in the School of Finance and Economics, aimed at training international accounting talent.
 
Mr. Zhong enjoyed a lengthy talk with Ms. Gillow. He first introduced the current situation of our school. GDUFS was founded in 1965 as one of three foreign language schools directly under the guidance of Ministry of Education Institutions. After Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages and Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade joined in 1995, it developed rapidly. The focus of its accounting features the feature of "profession + language", aiming at producing international universal talent. Mr. Zhong expressed his expectation of cooperation in accounting and financial management.
 Ms. Gillow expressed her thanks for the warm welcome. She said that ACCA has become one of the UK's, and even the worlds, most influential international accountancy organizations. It has been more than 20 years since it entered the Chinese market in 1988 and they have actively taken part in training Chinese accountants. Through this opportunity, she expected cooperation in new areas and a long - term partnership with GDUFS. 
 
After the meeting, they signed the Memorandum of Cooperation concerning cooperation of both sides. They exchanged presents and took group photos. Later on, delegates were guided to visit the school library, the cultural square and simultaneous interpreting lab.
