President of Taipei University of Science and Technology Visits NPU

Transtlate On May 29，Dr. Li Zutian, president of Taipei University of Science and Technology, and his party paid a two-day visit to NPU. On May 30, President Jiang Chengyu met with them on the campus; also present at the meeting were Tang Hong，director of the Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs, and Sun Yu, deputy director of the same Office.
President Jiang gave President Li a briefing on NPU's disciplines, research characteristics and educational and academic cooperation with international universities. The two sides discussed education, academic exchange and research cooperation.
President Li said that the purpose of his visit was to promote the cooperation and exchange between the two universities; he pointed out in particular that NPU under the Project 985 would be one of his university's key partner universities across the Taiwan Straits.
