May 25 - On May 22, regional operation Vice President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, Hyungbin Yim, along with the Deputy Minister of the Competition Department of the Asian Games Organizing Committee Xu Jianping, arrived at GDUFS for a tour and a conference about the construction of the stadiums. Vice Secretary of the CPC Office Xu Guobin, Director of the Sports Department, Operation Secretary of the Asian Games Stadium Squad Lin Shaona, Minister for the Propaganda Department of the CPC Office, Deputy Director of the Media Operation Kong Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Sports Department, Vice Secretary for Operation Li Xuwu, Deputy Director of the International Communications Office, Reception Manager Liang Jie, and Premises Sustainment Manager Wang Lujiang also attended the conference. To begin the meeting, Xu Guobin expressed his regards to the visitors on behalf of the Secretary of the CPC Office Sui Guangjun and GDUFS President Zhong Weihe. Then he gave a brief introduction to the basic situation at GDUFS. He mentioned that over 5000 GDUFS students would participate as volunteers, striving to make the imminent Asian Games a glorious international event.
Lin Shaona gave a briefing about the work being completed by the GDUFS Stadium Squad. According to Lin, the initial work is promising and her squad is already ready to test their results. Finally, she stated that the squad was working hard, and that they were confident that there would be no problems with finishing their work with high quality and efficiency.
At the end of the conference, Xu Guobin presented a gift to Hyungbin Yim. Then, accompanied by the officials, Hyungbin Yim toured the stadiums and was given a detailed report. He stated that GDUFS was well prepared for the coming Asian Games, and that he was certain that the Games would certainly be very successful.
