2010 CTBU Study & Culture Tour Concludes Successfully
On the morning of May 28th, closing ceremony of 2010 CTBU Study & Culture Tour was held in Distance Learning Center. Present were Prof. Gou Chaoli, Vice President of CTBU, Han Yan and Zhou Qian, Director and Deputy Director of International Cooperation & Exchange Office, 41 professors and students from partner universities including Widener University, University of Missouri, Elgin Community College of U.S.A., King's University College of the University of Western Ontario, HEC Montréal of Canada, Swansea University of U.K., Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Thailand and students from Volunteer Association of International Cooperation & Exchange of CTBU.
At the beginning of closing ceremony, a video was played about the activities in the past three weeks and news report by Chongqing TV station of International Culture and Food Fair. In the following speeches, representatives from each foreign university expressed their thanks to CTBU for providing them a great opportunity to share different cultures, they also appreciated the help by the volunteer students from CTBU. They were highly impressed by the activities and Chinese courses and considered the program a life-changing culture tour. The volunteer representative of CTBU noted that during the three weeks they gained lifetime friendship with all the foreign friends as well.
Next, Han Yan, Director of International Cooperation & Exchange Office delivered a speech. She gave her sincere thanks to the foreign teachers and students for bringing lots of vitality to CTBU, and hoped that the foreign guests would share their unforgettable experience in Chongqing with their fellow classmates and friends in their own country and welcome more friends to come to CTBU.
At last, VP Gou Chaoli, on behalf of CTBU, expressed her warm congratulation on the success of the 2010 CTBU Study & Culture Tour. She hoped that the three-week program would strengthen the cooperation and friendship between students from China and foreign countries. Then she presented certificates and souvenirs to all the participants.
