GDUFS Open Day

June 22 - 'Welcome to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies', read the flowing red streamer, fluttering in the light wind on the 11^th opening day of GDUFS. Seeking counsel, hundreds of students, accompanied by their parents, flooded onto the South Campus on June 20th. GDUFS CPC Secretary Sui Guangjun, President Zhong Weihe and Vice CPC Secretary Xu Guobin, together with other leaders, visited the students at the activity site.

At 10:30 a.m, the press conference for admissions consultancy was held in Room 102, Teaching Building A, South Campus. In attendance were Vice President Liu Jianda, Academic Programmes Division Director Zhan Wendu, and Student Affair Office Director Zhi Xiucong. They were interviewed by Guangdong TV, Guangzhou TV, Nanfang City News and Yangcheng Evening News. At the conference, Liu Jianda emphasized changes to the admission policy in 2010.

At the open day, students and their parents were busily collected information about courses at GDUFS. Most students first considered what they would enjoy while parents thought more about employment and salary.
