International Education Division, Tourism College of Zhejiang.

The Division was set up in July 2004, which mainly deals with recruiting foreign students; sending students abroad and cooperating with colleges and universities in joint programs.

Our college has committed itself to international exchanges and cooperation with colleges and universities abroad. Up till now, we have sent altogether 60 students in our college to South Korea, among whom 16 students have finished their bachelor’s program. In September, we had 27 Korean students from four universities here to study Chinese, Chinese cuisine and tour guiding. In October, we have discussed with Les Roches Hospitality Management School and ITM in Austria in detail about sending Chinese students to study in Switzerland and Austria. In November, William Angliss Institute of TAFE of Australia has negotiated with us about the possibility of starting a joint program. In January 2005, we have started our exchange program with Institute for Tourism Studies in Macao and we also have reached an agreement with Hong Kong Polytechnic to send our students to study in the joint program. In addition, we have discussed with colleges and universities in France, Central Europe, Australia and Ukraine about partnership relations, student exchange programs and joint programs.
