Address by the President

Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University (GPNU), founded in 1957, is a public university run by Guangdong Provincial government, owning 17 schools with 52 specialties, covering seven study areas including science, engineering, art, economy, management, education and law. It is authorized to award bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Located in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province in south China, GPNU enjoys convenient transportation and favorable weather. It takes only one hour and a half to reach Hong Kong by train.

GPNU has established friendly relationships with colleges and universities from U.K., U.S.A., Canada, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. Students and teachers from countries in Asia, Europe, America and Africa are studying or teaching in GPNU.

I expect and welcome international students from all over the world to GPNU for language training and specialties.

I expect and welcome experts from overseas to GPNU for teaching and academic exchange.

I would also like to express my sincere desire for cooperation with institutions of higher leaning from outside China.
