Dr. Diana K. Davies, Associate Provost for International Initiatives of Princeton University, Visits
RUC President Prof. Ji Baocheng and Vice-President Prof. Chen Yulu respectively met with Dr. Diana K. Davies, Associate Provost for International Initiatives of Princeton University on Nov. 2nd, 2009.
Prof. Ji Baocheng hoped that economics could be a breakthrough for the cooperation between the two sides regarding scholars and students exchange. Dr. Davies expressed her agreement with Prof. Ji’s suggestion and would further promote the detailed cooperation between Princeton Department of Economics and RUC School of Economics.
RUC Vice-President Prof. Chen Yulu extended his gratitude to Dr. Davies’ efforts and help for the cooperation between Princeton and RUC. He also hoped that the two sides could design some manipulative programmes in students and teachers exchange to deepen the bilateral cooperation. Dr. Davies expressed that Princeton was willing to cooperate with RUC through various forms. She introduced in detail some of the international programmes Princeton were working on, and extended her welcome to RUC students and teachers.
Prof. Yang Ruilong, Dean of RUC School of Economics, Prof. Tang Zhong, Director of RUC International Office, and representatives from Hanqing Advanced Institute of Economics and Finance also attended the meeting.
