British Headmasters Visit School Attached to GDUFS

A delegation of headmasters from nine British private schools visited the School Attached to GDUFS on October 30th.  Mrs. Liu Zhiming, Headmaster of the School Attached to GDUFS, as well as Vice Headmaster Yuan Yudi, received the guests warmly.

In order to have a better understanding of the development of China’s educational system, the delegation sat in on an English class. Miss Zhou, the teacher of this class, encouraged pupils to think and solve problems independently which, in turn, motivated their desire to learn.   Both Miss Zhou's teaching approach and the children’s enthusiasm for discovering and expressing their ideas left a deep impression on the visitors. Mr Lee, the Headmaster of Rydal Penrhos School, told our reporter that teaching methods here were quite similar to that in UK and that he really appreciated the lively class.

At the same time, Mr. Martin Webber, the President of Academicasia, UK, also a member of the delegation, was giving a lecture to another class. In his lecture, Mr. Webber vividly introduced the educational system in the UK.  He shared information including the pattern of traditional education, and the scale of private schools.

After the class, both the British headmaster delegation and the leaders of the School Attached to GDUFS exchanged their opinions on different aspects of education. The guests highly praised the enthusiastic pupils as well as the energetic atmosphere in the school.
