GDUFS Arts Troupe Visits Russia
November 11 -An arts troupe from GDUFS visited Russia from Oct 22th to the 29th. While there, they performed at both the Ural State University and Kazan University.
During the trip to Kazan University, the troupe performed shows composed of many Chinese cultural elements. Some artists danced with traditional Dai and Zang nationalities' costume while other artists performed Chinese martial arts. The troupe also sang songs in Cantonese, which brought to life the artistic flavor of Guangdong province.
The show in Ural State University was even bigger and better. Students from both schools performed together and there was not a seat left in the hall. The students first sang a traditional Soviet Union song called “Le Temps Du Muguet". This led to interactions between the artists and audience, which made everyone feel involved in the show.
During the short seven days, students as well as teachers from the three schools built strong friendships. The principal of the GDUFS Arts Troupe, Li Yukun, said that the trip connected the Russian and Chinese students and enabled them to communicate more in the area of art.
