GDUFS Students Visit Japan

Oct 21 - To celebrate the 37th anniversary of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations, 24 GDUFS students participated in a week-long communicative visit to Japan from October 5th to the 12th.  The visit was organized by the Provincial Department of Education.

 

The delegation was made up of 278 students and teachers from 13 universities in Guangdong. Deputy Director of students, Li Hemin, together with 24 GDUFS students, also took part in the visit.

During the one-week trip, students visited several cities such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe and Osaka, where they experienced local Japanese life. They had the chance to exchange gifts with Japanese students at a party held in Hyogo. The delegation also visited some well-known sites, including Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Toyota Automobile Museum, the Homeland for the Oriental White Stork in Fukuoka and many others.

"The warm-heartedness and hospitality shown by the Japanese moved us. During our stay in Japan, the prosperity of Hyogo Prefecture and its success in conservation of traditional culture impressed us a lot." said one delegate.

The trip helped GDUFS students widen their horizons by giving them an insightful look into Japanese society as well as helping to establish a future friendship between the two countries. Students told us that all in all, it was a really inspiring trip.
