Professor He Lin Was Awarded the Biology Prize of the Third World Academy of Sciences
On October 19, 2009, Professor He Lin was notified by Dean of the Third World Academy of Sciences (now renamed the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, TWAS) that in view of the outstanding contributions made by Professor He Lin over all these years in the research on human disease genes and pathogenic mechanism, recommended by the TWAS Awards Committee, the council of the academy officially decided to confer the 2009 TWAS Biological Prize to Professor He Lin (and the other scientist). The official award ceremony will be held next year, in the 21st TWAS plenary meeting. Professor He Lin has decided to donate all the prize money to “Bio-X Award”(http://www.bio-x.cn/cp2-1.asp) to promote the interest of undergraduates and postgraduates in scientific research.
