Vice-president of CTBU Gou Meeting with International Students
Vice-president, Professor Gou Chaoli met with all the foreign students enrolled in our university this fall semester and had dinner with them on Sep 16th.
Vice-president Gou extended a warm welcome to all the foreign students on behalf of CTBU. She pointed out the coming of international students had helped to build up an multi-cultural surrounding at CTBU and in the meantime, she expressed her wishes that all the students could enjoy a happy stay and have a wonderful experience of study on the campus and each student could be an ambassador of friendship to CTBU after coming back to home countries.
CTBU has got a new record of the number of foreign students this year with 31 students from about ten countries as U.S.A., U.K., South Korea,Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and etc. One of them is taking undergraduate study, some of them are studying Chinese and some are long term exchange students from partner universitites studying subject courses in English. For the first week, the International Office organized a series of activities to help the students familarize with the campus, the community and the city. They had a campus tour, city tours, local delicacy tasting parties and internship base visit. With the help of volunteer students from each school of CTBU, the international students are having better understanding of the university and the city. They are deeply impressed by the beautiful campus and studying resources. And all of them are looking forward to the experience at CTBU.
