Jiangsu University Attended China Education Exhibition in Indonesia
In response to the warm and repeated invitation from the Education ambassador of Indonesian Embassy to China, Jiangsu University sent a delegation to Indonesia for China education exhibition, together with ten other Chinese universities, among which are Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Normal University, Southeast University and Nanjing Normal University, etc. The exhibition was held in Jogyakarta, which is the most educationally developed city in Indonesia, and in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia.
At the opening ceremony, associate Prof. Xinchao Li, vice dean of Overseas Education College at Jiangsu University, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Chinese delegation to welcome Indonesian students to study in China, and the secretary general of Jogyakarta City addressed the ceremony. That evening the representative of the King of Jogyakarta (also the Chief Executive) welcomed Chinese guests and with banquet at the Palace with the companion of some heads of the departments of Education, Tourist Administration and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and local fifty university presidents and its representatives as well. The preliminary cooperation agreement was reached between Jiangsu University and some universities during the meeting.

At the exhibition some majors such as business administration, accounting, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemistry and chemical engineering, and pharmacology are attractive to local students and parents. Our active participation to this exhibition was reported on several leading Indonesian newspapers with large space.
