From August 26, international students from all over the world begin to arrive in HUST in succession. Teachers from International Student Office, together with the SICA members, are trying their best to welcome international students with heart and soul.
English slogans can be seen everywhere, showing a warm welcome to new students from HUST. In order to help the international students deal with the registration procedures successfully, relevant teachers and more than 50 volunteers are arranged in each position, always ready to offer help and service.
One member of SICA says “Despite of the hot weather these days, we all devote ourselves to work. After all, the international students leave their homes and come to study here, thousands of miles away from their countries, they really need our help. What’s more important, we are on behalf of HUST.”
The great enthusiasm and friendliness impress the international students a lot. KANG, TAE HYEON, an exchange student from Yeungnam University, Korea says, “It’s so amazing to see the big and beautiful campus. Teachers and volunteers are all very kind. Their smiles make me feel warm and relaxed. I like HUST very much!”
With the great expanding international reputation of HUST in recent years, more and more students from all over the world choose HUST for their further study and promising future every year. In 2013, there will be around 1000 new international students from more than 100 countries coming to study in HUST.
