Cooperation is Established between GDUFS and Korean Universities
To promote further cooperation on internationalized researches and education, Korean universities invited Mr. Chen Yanping, Dean of Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture (FCLC), and Mr. Liu Xiaoping, Vice-Dean of FCLC during the meeting from July 21st to 28th.
It was reported that next year FCLC would send students for exchange studies and teaching internship to Cheju National University, Busan University of Foreign Language Studies, Jungwon University and Daejin University .
On July 22nd, FCLC Delegation arrived at Cheju National University, which located on Cheju Island, south of Korea, to meet with President and Dr. Huh Hyang jin and signed up a series of contracts between the two institutes. Later, FCLC Delegation talked with Kang Gyeonggeun, Manager of Affairs of Center of International Affairs, Lim Dongchun, President of College of Humanities and so on about students' exchange programs.
On July 24th, FCLC Delegation arrived at Busan University of Foreign Language Studies that situated in Korea southern city Busan. During the visit, the delegation exchanged thoughts with Byun Chichan, Director of International Communication and Jeong Yoonchul, Consultant of International Communication, on issues like students exchange, setting up double majors and research center of Chinese studies. After the meeting, the two institutes agreed that they would start cooperating on students exchange programs.
Later, the delegation headed for Jungwon University and worked on the issues of students exchange and teaching internship of Chinese culture with President of Jungwon University, Ahn Byeonghwan and other school leaders.
As scheduled, FCLC Delegation reached Daejin University in Seoul, north of Korea, on July 24th. Daejin University President, Jo Daewon , and Manager of Affairs of Center of International Affairs Gim Taekwon also prepared a sincere welcome to the delegation, and later discussed the cooperation of Chinese culture studies between both sides.
As GDUFS had aimed at featuring internationalization, and becoming a further advanced university, FCLC had devoted great effort in promoting international cooperation. At present, FCLC has gained fruitful achievements in students exchange and Chinese teaching internship overseas.
The visit to Korean universities would benefit students and teachers from both sides as it paved the way for exchange and internship programs.
