Two Chinese college students walk 400 km to get home
Undergraduates Jiang Wenlong and Zhang Linghui took the long way home – walking more than 400 kilometers to get home in Hunan Province for the Spring Festival.
Jiang, 19, a freshman at Central South University of Forestry and Technology and his friend Zhang, 20, also a freshman in Xiangtan University walked along No. 107 National Highway from Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province to Hengyang city, then switched to No. 322 National Highway for Yongzhou city, in Hunan Province. They walked from January 21 to 28.
"We want to have wills of steel so we planned the trip," Jiang explained. "Though it was raining and chilly, we got a lot of help by from passers-by and entertained ourselves by singing, photographing and partying during the journey."
