2012 Graduation Party Held in HUST

At 7 p.m. on Jun. 21st, the 2012 Graduation Party was held in the Optical Valley Gymnasium. On the stage melodious singing, beautiful dancing, inspiring slogans and warm applauses  witnessed graduates' affectionate farewell to HUST.

 

When the lights were turned on, dancers with bachelor clothes started dancing. Later, with the melody of ”Love“, they took off the bachelor clothes, showing the graduation shirts of each school and department.  The audiences got excited with the dance.

 

4-Year Growth Journey

The Students art troupe firstly presented  a song and dance ”Youth Gathering under the Red Flag”.

 

There is a tradition called "Triple Early" in HUST, namely, early getting-up, early exercise and early reading. The piano melody" Triple Early" brought the spectators into those past sleepy mornings.

 

Singers explained the campus culture with their unique voices.

 

The students art troupe showed the audience a one-day life of HUST students with the dance of ”HUST Variation“. Besides, Dian Group performed the dance “Chasing Dreams”, describing stories of keeping on chasing their dreams.

 

Coolest Chinese Style

"Little Mei Lanfang" Hong Feng surprised everyone with elegant and pure Peking Opera.

 

 HUST students who would further their study abroad gave a performance of ”Descendants of the Dragon” which had a lively rhythm, and world-wide Husters’ wishes were presented on the stage background.

 

Most Memorable Youth Throb

"Back to the initial starting point, your familiar face in my memory" the song ”Those Years“ touched the emotion hidden in everyone's heart. Although the separation was sad, we still should face it happily.

 

Most Unbearable Departure Friendship

The song “I Believe“ by student counselors showed their passion, and encouraged all graduates to have confidence in the future.

 

At 21:19, the central stage slowly rose up, and President Li Peigen showed up with the cheers of all students. He recited a poem “We Walked from the Past“. Then he inscribed a Chinese character "Change" for all graduates. In the end, President Li sang a song ”In the Memory“ with some alumni. Every drop in graduates' memory will never fade away.

 

The international student Fahad from Pakistan also prepared a program for the party. He sang the classical song ”Friend“, showing the deep friendship between Chinese and foreign students.

 

Set Sail and Start off Again

At the end of the party, songs like “Brave Heart“ encouraged graduates to move forward bravely to the unknown future, and the dance “Hundreds of Boats Compete” expressed the expectations of graduates: success would be achieved if you were not afraid of hardships.

 

At 22:00, the party ended. Hosts and graduates promised to have a reunion at HUST 20 years later.
