Chinese and foreign students 'flash' to celebrate HUST 60th anniversary

At 4 p.m. of July 28th, an extraordinary "flash" performance was presented by Chinese and foreign students of HUST in front of the No. 9 East Teaching Building to celebrate the 60th anniversary of HUST.

When the class was over in the afternoon, students poured out of the building as usual. Suddenly, the dynamic heavy metal music went off. A boy wearing a casquette started his street dancing. The hip-hop style and cool dancing caught the attention of passing students, and they wondered, "Will any interesting activities be held today?"

Then, two girls joined in the dancing, and after taking off their coats, over 20 girls in white T-shirts with red anniversary logo started jazz dancing. About 1 minute later, the jazz music stopped suddenly, and a number of students wearing the same white T-shirt joined in the dancing group.

"Hey, Hey, Hey!" the cheering Mexican Latin dancing music sounded, and over 30 students from Mexico, Thailand, Russia and Iraq danced paso doble, shouting " Hey Ha!" Chinese students with five-star read flag logo stuck on their faces or arms danced together with foreign students.

When the audience were immersed in the paso doble, the hip-pop music started again, and a new dance was performed. With a chorus " Oh, Oh!", the whole "flash" dance came to an end. All dancers gathered together, pointing to the roof of the No.9 East Teaching Building. Many red ballons with white numbers of " 60" rose into the sky, and 2 banners appeared on the roof." Wish HUST a happy birthday!" was written on them.

It is said that this "flash" activity was jointly-organized by the School of International Education and the Students International Communication Association
