PROSPECTUS FOR 2012 AUTUMN MID-TERM CHINESE PROGRAMME

Long/Short-term Chinese Language Training Programmes—Introductory, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. Application is accepted throughout the year. Elementary or above-leveled students are eligible for immediate enrolment. Flexible term setup is available upon individual needs: Length of term may vary from 4 weeks, 8 weeks, half year, 1 year to several years.

The study time for 2012 Autumn mid-term programme: Nov.2^ed –Dec.28^th ,2012

Fees: Tuition fee: RMB 4,700 Schedule: Monday to Friday

Application fee: RMB500 14:00—17:00 Chinese classes

Teaching material fee: Charged based on actual cost.

Registration time

New comers:

Nov. 1^st、2^ed (Thursday、Friday) Registration and Chinese test

Nov. 5^th Classes begin Distribution of textbooks, Classes begin

Accommodation and Canteens

Double room: RMB 4000/semester/bed, RMB 1000/month/bed.

4-bed room: RMB 1800/semester/bed, RMB 450/month/bed.

Water & electricity fees: RMB 400 is charged in advance as water and electricity fees. Extra cost should be paid at the end of the semester if the actual spending is more than RMB 400. For short-term students, water and electricity fee is charged on the basis of RMB 100 for one month. Extra cost is deducted from the 400 Yuan.

Bed clothes: students buy bed clothes by themselves.

Notes: degree students and exchange students must pay accommodation fee for one semester in one time. Language students can pay accommodation fee covering their duration of study.

Accommodation fee is not refundable.

Various restaurants, student and faculty canteen may well serve every appetite at a cost of around 15 RMB per day.

Insurance

According to the “Provisional Regulations for Compulsory International Student Insurance at Higher Institutions of Learning” issued by the Education Ministry of the P.R China, international students in China must buy group comprehensive insurance sold on Chinese mainland (including free of particular average, personal accident insurance, medical insurance). The insurance should be bought upon registration. Otherwise, the registration will be rejected. Insurance fee: 300 RMB/semester，600 RMB/year.
