President Lin Met with Freshmen Students

"Teacher-Student Exchange Bar” is a place specially designed for teachers and students to communicate with each other. On the afternoon of October 12, President Lin Jianhua and 5 freshmen students met here. The 5 students are all from science classes. President Lin carefully asked each student his thinking about and plans for future, and was pleased that students had all set their goals.
"The role shift in freshmen year is of supreme importance.” President Lin commented. Different from high school studies, university courses provide know knowledge on a face pace. “You’d better adapt yourselves quickly to the new occasion and communicate more with teachers and senior students to shape your own new way of learning soon.”

President Lin suggested students take more comprehensive courses and shape a macro-perspective in understanding problems. He shared his own experience of exercising when possible, and encouraged them to exercise, stay healthy and enthusiastic, and develop good living and learning habits.
On their first encounter, Wang Yifan like this “Friend to freshmen”. He told his confusions to President Lin and felt the President was nice to them. “We are in our process of adapting to the new environment. When we encounter problems, we will ask for advice from our President.”
