At the invitation of professor Ma Guohong, Dr. D. Grischkowsky, member of the board of governor of Oklahoma State University visited College of Sciences on Oct, 15th, 2013. Dr. D. Grischkowsky has made remarkable contribution in research and application of ultrafast lasers, THz optoelectronics technology fields, and he is one of the founders of ultrafast lasers and terahertz technology, recognized as “the father of terahertz technology”.
On The morning of October 16 Academician Shen Xue, dean of College of Sciences, presided the report made by Dr. Grischkowsky in G507 made titled "THz Photonics, The Synergy of Ultra - fast Lasers with Micro - Microwaves, Quasi - called, and Electronic Chips", introduced the invention of the photoconductive antenna and detection of THZ wave technology process in detail, as well as the latest research results of terahertz technology and broad application prospect of terahertz technology.
