Chinese Culture Activity- Insight into Confucius and Laozi
On November 14, 2013, College of International Education organized a special culture activity for international students to learn traditional Chinese culture and history in Friendship Villa. Ms. Zhang Xueying gave a brief introduction to the ancient Chinese culture, Confucius as well as Laozi including their works.

The philosophy of Confucius emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity. Philosophical Daoism traced its origins to Laozi, an extraordinary thinker who flourished during the sixth century B.C.E.
The hope was also expressed by international students that more Chinese language activities especially those which emphasize on traditional culture will be developed in this semester.
