Four Courses Honored as National English-medium Excellent Courses for International Students

Transtlate HUST is honored again for its excellent English-medium courses soon after it has been selected as International Education Base by Ministry of Education. According to the Notification about Affirmation of English-medium Excellent Courses for International Students released by Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges on July 11th, four courses from HUST have won the honor as National English-medium Excellent Courses for International Students held by Ministry of Education.
The four courses are: Human Resource Management lectured by Professor Long Lirong from School of Management, Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery by Professor Kong Weijia from Tongji Medical College, Fundamentals of Information Theory by Professor Cheng Wenqing from Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, and Basic Chemistry by Professor Feng Qing from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
It is the first year that Ministry of Education launches a nationwide selection of the English-medium courses for international students, as a key component for implementing National Long-term Educational Reform and Development Plan (Year 2010 - 2020) and National Plan for Studying in China. It also aims at improving the education quality for international students studying in China and building a global brand in international students education. HUST has always valued the importance of English-medium courses, and brought the disciplinary advantages into full play, and pushed forward the future development of international students’ education. These crowned courses cover Management, Medicine, Engineering, and Science, ranking No.1 in the total number of courses in Hubei Province.
