Confucius Institute at Maranatha Christian University Indonesia Held Mandarin Training Course
Mandarin training course of the Confucius institute at Maranatha Christian university for the civil servants started their first course in the College Teaching Building on September 3rd. All the 36 Trainees in the class were the civil servants of Cimahi city, West Java Province, Indonesia, and divided into two classes. The Chinese teacher Zheng Na and Gao Zhimin of Confucius institute gave the first lesson . During the class, students learned seriously, interacted actively and expressed a strong interest in learning Mandarin. Mr. He Yanjie, Chinese director, introduced the Confucius institute and the related situation of the project.
Before that, the head of the Confucius Institute at Maranatha Christen University and the departments of Cimahi City has met several times to discussed about the project with detail and a teaching program has been accomplished. The mayor of Cimahi City press the department to implement the project and the government staff enrolled actively. With the start of the project, the Confucius Institute at the Maranatha Christen University made a significant progress in developing Mandarin education to the local people, introducing Chinese culture, and promoting cultural communication between Indonesia and China.
