Professor Xu Boling Received Nose International Fellowship Award From ASAIO

At the 60th Annual Conference of American Society for Artificial Internal organs (ASAIO) in Washington D.C., Professor Xu Boling from Soochow’s Artificial Heart Research Institute was awarded the Nose International Fellowship by Doctor Mark Slaughter, an elite heart surgeon and the chairman of ASAIO. This fellowship is sponsored by Y Nose Fund for a young scientist every year through committee review. Professor Xu won the award due to her research findings in auxiliary circulation and she is the first Chinese scientist who has received the award over the past decade.

ASAIO is a world class society for artificial organ research. Its annual conference provides an opportunity for researchers to exchange and cooperate with each other. The society is also the crossroads of science, engineering, regulatory and clinical practice and the ASAIO journal is an international core journal which always accepts and encourages innovative research papers. Professor Xu Boling and her team were delighted to receive the award. Xu said the award is an encouragement for their further research in artificial organ and blood rheologic studies.
