I. Program Setting

1. General Chinese Program 

A. Short-term training class

1) Short-term training class will last one month to two months during vocation times. 

2) The curriculum includes Chinese Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing, China Overview, and etc. 

After attending short-term training class, the students can master basic skills in Chinese listening, speaking and reading. 

B. Long-term training class

After successful completing the course, NCWU will issue Certificate of Completion. 

C. Martial

NCWU has a cooperative project with Songshan Shaolin Wushu Institute, which is featured by Chinese culture and Martial. After the foreign students have acquired HSK 2 or above certificate, they can choose to apply for the study of Martial in Songshan Shaolin Wushu Institute. 

Availability

--The general Chinese program is applicable to all international students. 

-All applicants without HSK result who apply for degree program are required to attend this program prior to their degree studies.

After the foreign students have acquired HSK 3 or above certificate, they can choose to apply for the study in NCWU for Bachelor Degree (please find the following for the detailed information). After successful completing the courses, foreign students can acquire Certificate of Graduation and Bachelor Degree. If foreign students already have the bachelor degree, they can apply for the study for Master Degree. After successful completing the courses and passing the Dissertation Defense, foreign students can acquire Certificate of Graduation and Master Degree. 

2. Undergraduate Programs (4 years)

Entry Requirements:

l  High school graduated;

l  HSK Band 3 for Science and/or Engineering studies, Band 6 (New HSK Band 5) for Liberal Arts, Economics and/or Management studies;

l  Those who do not have a HSK certificate can study for one year Chinese Language program at NCWU prior to their degree programs until obtain the corresponding results.

l  Physical Examination Record for Foreigners

l  One passport Copy

l  Six 2’’ Passport photographs

l  HSK certificate (if available)

l  High School Diploma and Transcripts.

3. Master Programs (3 years)

Entry Requirements:

l  Bachelor’s degree holder;

l  HSK Band 3 for Science and/or Engineering studies, Band 6 (New HSK Band 5) for Liberal Arts, Economics and/or Management studies;

l  Those who do not have a HSK certificate can study for one year Chinese Language Program at NCWU prior to their degree programs until obtain the corresponding results. 

Application Documents:

l  Application form, which can be download from;

l  Physical Examination Record for Foreigners;

l  One passport copy;

l  Six 2’’ Passport photographs;

l  HSK certificate (if available);

l  Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcripts, as well as one study plan;

l  Two reference letters signed by Professors or Associate Professors.

All rooms on the campus are fully furnished and include individual bathrooms, internet access ports, telephones and air-conditioner. 

Notes:

Ø  Students may choose to live off campus. Please kindly note that international students must register 

at the local police station within 24 hours of moving into off-campus housing. 

Ø  The tuition and accommodation fees are nonrefundable if a student withdraws from the program.
